Genealogy and Parish Records
Only very recent Births, Marriages and Burial records are held in the Parish. If you are interested in tracing older records please contact the Library at the Church of Ireland Representative Church Body in Dublin. See the Genealogy section of the Church of Ireland website www.ireland.anglican.org.
Interfaith Group and Ecumenical Relations
Richard Kimball is St Nicholas' Interfaith Officer with responsibility for relations with other faiths. Richard is well travelled in the Middle East and North Africa. He is particularly closely associated with Palestinian Christians and is a regular visitor to the West bank and Gaza. He has particular interests in Christian, Muslim and Jewish theologies and his recent studies in St Andrew's University reflects that. In Galway he convenes regular meetings with the leaders of the various Islamic communities, Jewish scholars and Christian leaders. Richard's background is with the Society of Friends and he was born and grew up in Maine, USA. Richard has arranged several Interfaith events that have taken place in St Nicholas.
St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church is located in the centre of Galway, at the junction of Mainguard Street and Lombard Street.
